There are many traumatic incidents that can affect someone greatly but what is worst is when the incident happens at a young age, because after that a child has to carry all the bad memories with them for the rest of their lives. Child abuse is the mistreatment of a child, which can affect them for the long run. Children either grow up to become a better person or grow up to become just like their abuser, which causes them to add a new victim to the society. Everyone can be affected by abuse either it’s a child, a teenager or adult but what society needs to see are the different support systems and groups that are being provided for them. They help heal the traumatized victims of the different aspects of abuse such as; emotional, physical, sexual and even neglect. Not only does this organization support victims but they also bring awareness to children and adults as well and to educate them on how child abuse can be prevented and to show them the different signs of a child that is being abused. They believe that every child should be loved equally and be taken care of by their family and also by their community. A quote that relates would be “Our mission is to prevent and treat all forms of child abuse by creating changes in individuals, families and society that strengthen relationships and promote healing”(Child Abuse Prevention Association). This is a great organization because it doesn’t discriminate the children and accepts any victims; this is also a non-profit organization which means that everything that they make and all the donations that they receive go to the children and their activities that would help them and not to themselves. Lastly the Help for Adult Victims of Child Abuse is slightly different but has helped adults who have been affected by abuse when they were younger. This organization guides the adults and provides a positive path for them to follow in order to recover from the traumatic events.
