In her article “Excuse Me While I Explode: My Mother, Myself, My Anger” E.S. Maduro writes about her frustration at her mothers position in the household and latter herself’s. She begins with her lack of understanding how her mother accepted her fathers behavior. Murado tells that her mother gave up her carrie and run the whole family chores while her father had a career and did only couple manly chores. Murado emphasizes that even later when her mather went back to school and worked her chores didn 't change. Moreover, every one at home and society seemed to take it for granted. She sincerely believed that she is not going to fall for the same path as her mother. Murado didn 't want to carry all the house chores on her self. She was convinced that women have to do everything at home because of men they chose. Therefore, she was looking an totally opposite person than her father. Then she goes on telling about her boyfriend Paul seemed different. When they met he was neat, responsible, and he knew how to cook. Murado then realized day by day she was becoming like her mother. She often found her self cooking after long day at work, doing laundry and shopping while Paul did less and less. Murado assumed that Paul was just like her father because he grew up in a family where his mother did everything for them. But she noticed that it was quite the same. She celebrates the fact that her mother’s generation didn 't have choice. But Paul offered help and tried to help.…
