Genesis 1-11 is the beginning of all things and where God laid the foundation for His creation. Genesis is also the guide to all biblical truth regarding God being the creator of all things. In these specific passages the bible gives us a great picture of where we come from and how we should view the world as God’s creation. It also gives God’s huge role in creating the world and what He did for His people.
The natural world is a more known concept when it comes to the readings of Genesis. The first book in the bible claims, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1). Most people that know of the bible know this verse. God created every living and non-living thing on this earth. God explains the greatest things such as the sky meeting the waters of the ocean, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water” (Genesis 1:6), to the smallest of things like seed-bearing plants, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds” (Genesis 1:11). These passages teach that evolution is clearly not by God. Every plant and animal would bear seeds “according to their various kinds”. Evolution is defined as, “change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift” (Dictionary.com).
