1.) Who was Ida B. Wells?
ANSWER: Ida B. Wells was an African-American journalist from Holly Springs. Ms. Ida attended Fisk University and Rust college. Ida was an activist who led an anti-lynching crusade in the United States.
2.) Who was Leonora Wells?
ANSWER: Leonora Barry was born in the County Cork, Ireland. Leonora Barry was the only national officer of the Knights of Labor. She organized women workers in 1886-1890. Leonora furthered the progress of women’s rights.

2. What was the ERA?
ANSWER: The ERA which stands for Equal Rights Amendment was a proposed amendment to the U.S constitution designed to guarantee equal rights for women. The ERA was originally written by Alice Paul and Crystal Eastman.
3. Why was there an end to the unity in the Women’s movement in the 1920s? ANSWER: There was an end to the unity in the Women’s movement in the 1920’s because men came back from war and they were taking their jobs back. Women now thinking they came so far, got shot down, and got brought back to reality. Women were still allowed to work but got the short end of the stick.
4. How did political conservatism effect the movement in this decade?
ANSWER: Political conservatism effected the movement in this decade because there was an image you had to go by. Men and women had to look a certain way; they were limited on what they could say.
5. How did women of color survive and work in the late 1920s?
ANSWER: During the 1920s the women of color survived and worked by doing agricultural labor, laundry work, or domestic service. They frequently refused jobs as live-in servants. It was harder for women of color to get jobs at all.
